If you own an Amazon Smart Home device, like an Alexa Echo or Dot, a Fire Cube, or some of the Ring camera devices, then read on. Amazon is rolling out what’s called “Amazon Sidewalk,” a setting that will automatically share some of your bandwidth with the neighborhood. Internet privacy experts aren't happy, in fact they're saying wait just a darn minute. The big hoopla is over the fact that Amazon has automatically enabled this feature for you, and if you don’t want to participate, you actually have to choose to opt out.

These devices have changed our modern lives -- you can ask it to play any song, check a weather forecast, hear news briefs, get a package delivered, be notified when it arrives, and more.

But now, Amazon is rolling out yet another new feature called Amazon Sidewalk, a setting that will share a piece of your internet with others to create a neighborhood network.

damn. not surprised about this. we are all synced and plugged up. I turned this option off on alexa...they try to make the claim that it helps your devices stay connected...and a small portion is tethered to your neighbors. ha

Alexa is amazing, she can do everything, but is she good in bed?

I'll be impressed when she can start helping me with a few complicated tax returns.

Tell her how to ask questions, teach her how to ask a few leading questions (hey, pollsters are not the only ones seeking a desired result), teach her how to extrapolate and baddafuckingbing, that bitch is mine

i know people love their alexas and now that they're incorporated into many smart tv's it is tough to get away from it but if you have one of these echo devices or the new version (forgot what they call it) and you don't use it regularly, dump it....

After 75,000 Echo arbitration demands, Amazon now lets you sue it | Ars Technica

they are recording and saving your kid's conversations and whatever they are getting out of it is so valuable they are happy to get sued for the right to keep doing it
